Panipat: The news of the accident is once again coming to light from Panipat in Haryana. A private bus coming from Jalandhar collided heavily with a truck parked on Samalkha Highway in the city. About 30 passengers were present on the bus. The truck driver and the driver were standing on the road. The accident was so severe that there was an outcry as soon as the collision took place. The riders were evacuated. One person was killed while about 12 passengers were injured in the tragic accident and were given first aid at the General Hospital in Panipat.

In Panipat, a tourist bus was on its way from Jalandhar to Delhi at around 4.30 am. The truck was parked on the side of the highway due to tyre burst in Samalkha. Both the client and the truck driver were standing on the side of the truck. It was then that a private bus coming from behind hit the truck heavily. This led to an outcry on the spot. The driver of the truck was in critical condition while the driver of the truck was killed in the accident. The collision was so severe that the front portion of the bus was also completely damaged. The driver got stuck in the cabin of the bus.

The drivers passing by pulled out the passengers of the bus. The driver trapped in the cabin was then somehow cut off the cabin and pulled out. The truck driver died on the spot and the driver of the bus was seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at the hospital. On the other hand, about 12 passengers on board the bus were injured, some of whom were sent for first aid and those who were seriously injured have been referred.
