A delegation led by East Nagaland Legislators Association Convenor and Minister S Pangnyu Phom asked NITI Aayog to look into the project report submitted to the Ministry of DoNER based on the special package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to East Nagaland in 2018. appealed to.

The delegation included officials from the DUDA department, who met NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant at his office in Delhi. During the discussion, the legislators highlighted the special package announced by the Prime Minister, on the basis of which a multi-disciplinary committee was constituted under the chairmanship of the Home Ministry to look into the matter. Subsequently, a comprehensive project was prepared and submitted to the donor ministry, but the project has not been approved till date.

The delegation urged the CEO of NITI Aayog and other officials present in the meeting to look into the project submitted to the donor ministry. Kant assured his full cooperation and support in taking up the project proposal lying with the donor ministry. He advised the delegation to re-prioritize the project proposal submitted to the donor. The delegation was accompanied by DRC Vennei Konyak, Planning OSD Thomas Thalu and Deputy Director and PRO of Nagaland House, Kuoli Mere.
