Patna: Panchayat elections in Bihar have been celebrated. Election dates have been officially announced on Tuesday. The Bihar State Election Commission has announced panchayat elections 2021. State Election Commissioner Deepak Prasad while holding a press conference has informed about panchayat elections. The State Election Commission has informed that polling will be held in 10 phases in each district. More than 1 lakh 13 thousand polling stations have been set up for panchayat elections. Elections will be held in 2 phases in seven blocks. Bihar has 534 blocks and 8072 panchayats. 6.38 crore voters will vote for 2,55,022 posts of Bihar Panchayat elections. 3.35 crore male and 3.03 crore female voters will exercise their franchise. In Bihar, 8072 leaders will go to the polls in panchayat elections. States that 28 flood-affected districts of the state will not go to the polls in the first phase. These districts include Buxar, Bhojpur, Patna, Nalanda, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, East Champaran, West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Samastipur, Supaul, Saharsa, Madhepura, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Araria, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Begusarai, Khagaria and Bhagalpur.
