Lucknow: By-elections for the eight assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh are going to be held on November 3. After the meeting today, the Election Commission has announced the schedule for the by-election for seven seats in eight. There will be no by-election on Swar assembly seat of Rampur. Central Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha has finalized the program. According to Election Commission Principal Secretary Sumit Mukherjee, voting will be held on November 9 on seven of the eight vacant seats in Uttar Pradesh. After this, the results of the by-elections will be released on 10 November. The notification for the by-election will be issued on October 9. The nomination deadline has been fixed for 16 October, while the nomination papers will be scrutinized on 17. October 19 will be the last date for withdrawal of nomination. Voting will take place on November 3 and results will be announced after the counting of votes on November 10. There will be no election on Rampur's Swar assembly seat yet. The Congress has declared its candidate Hyder Ali Khan from this assembly seat.
