EC gathered in preparation for assembly elections, list of officers begins to be made

New Delhi: The Central Election Commission has started examining the officials for the free and fair elections to the assembly in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Assam next year. The Central Election Commission has issued a consultation to the Chief Secretaries and Chief Electoral Officers of these five states in this regard.

The Central Election Commission has directed the officials related to elections to make a list of such officers as per their policy. This list will also include information about officers posted at the same place for three years or more. With this, a separate list of officers who retire within the next six months will be made. The names of those officers have also been asked to be included in this list, against whom the Commission recommended disciplinary action.

Along with this, the names of the officials and the information of the activities will also be included in this electoral list, which was held responsible for the mistake in an election. The officials included in these lists will not be given any responsibility in the assembly elections. The officers who retire in the next six months will also be kept away from electoral responsibility.
