This organization, working under the Ministry of Commerce of India, gives the GI tag after thorough investigation and scrutiny. Panna district has been known for its precious diamonds for centuries. This is the reason why Panna is also known as Diamond City. Getting the GI tag will increase the brightness of emerald diamonds internationally.
