Mumbai: A big news has recently emerged that a helicopter made an emergency landing near Bombay High in the Arabian Sea near Mumbai today. There are seven passengers and two pilots on board. The emergency landing was made near ONGC's rig 'Sagar Kiran'. ONGC has rescued 5 persons so far while carrying out immediate relief and rescue operations. In a tweet, the ONGC company said that a helicopter carrying 7 passengers and 2 pilots made an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea near the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) RIG at Sagar Kiran in Mumbai High today. It said that so far five persons have been rescued and further operations are on. The helicopter was carrying 6 ONGC personnel and belonged to a contractor working for a company. The same circumstances that led to the emergency landing were not immediately clear. Other details were also awaited. ONGC has several rigs and installations in the Arabian Sea, which are used to produce oil and gas from reservoirs below sea level.
