LOS ANGELES: Hollywood Actor Evan Peters initially had a tough time accepting the role of Jeffrey Dahmer. The 35-year-old actor revealed that he went "back and forth" before deciding he was "up for the challenge" in the Netflix series "Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story," reports aceshowbiz.com. The actor portrays the notorious serial killer, who was found guilty of killing 17 men between 1978 and 1991. "It was really difficult. I was giving it a lot of thought and trying to process it. I frequently switched my position. During a conversation with showrunner Ryan Murphy, he remarked, "I understood that you're a wonderful support system, and I trust you and there's an honesty there. "I expected that you would develop a fantastic safety net because I wanted to finish this thing as strong as I started it. I could get back up if I fell, and we could finish this. I could handle the challenge. The 'American Horror Story' star added that he "didn't have an appetite" for the first few episodes of the 1-part series after cutting out carbs and sugar in an effort to lose 15 pounds but found himself working out halfway through the shoot to reflect what Jeffrey would have looked like in prison. The actor said that he now wants to move on to a "lighter" role for his next project. I didn't really have an appetite during the early phases of shooting, he admitted to Variety. Then I started working out for episode 3 since that's when Dahmer starts working out and puts on around 20 pounds at the end to depict how he looks in prison. I'm going to explore the bright while taking a short break from my darker parts. To investigate the specifics of those kinds of experiences, I think it would be interesting to play something more relatable and commonplace.
