LOS ANGELES: Hollywood stars Jason Momoa and John Cena will be starring in the rowdy new action comedy 'Killer Vacation'.

The muscle-bound actors were hired by Warner Bros. for the feature film, whose narrative is currently a secret.
The two met while filming the upcoming "Fast and the Furious" franchise finales and were hoping to use their on-screen chemistry to another picture,  reports 'Variety'.

Project experts compared it to exciting, splashy experiences like "True Lies."

Mark and Brian Gunn wrote the "Killer" script, while John Rickard and Peter Safran will oversee production. Before Safran and James Gunn took over at WB's DC Films Unit, the movie was packaged and put up inside the studio.
Momoa, who has played Aquaman in multiple movies, is undoubtedly a key component of everything DC. In "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," he'll play the King of Atlantis once more. Momoa most recently appeared in "Dune," another film from Warner Bros. Producer Safran worked on "Aquaman." In "The Suicide Squad" and its HBO Max offshoot, "Peacemaker," Cena made an appearance (his dance sequence in tighty whities was a highlight of this or any TV season). Safran and Gunn worked closely together on every aspect of Peacemaker, with Gunn developing Cena's character before coming up with the idea for the spinoff.

The next American action-comedy "Freelance," which is helmed by "Taken's" Pierre Morel, will include Cena as its star.
