Excess intake of Vitamin B leads to lung cancer

If the smoker men take high doses of Vitamin B, they are more likely to suffer with lung cancer. It has been found in a study that compared to non-smokers, those who take 55mg of male Vitamin B12 for 10 years are susceptible to this disease four times more. Those who are taking vitamin B6 supplements more than 20gm in a day, the risk of lung cancer has been found to be three times more.

During the research, patients of 50-76 years gave their researchers information about 10-year dose of Vitamin B. Dr. Thioder Brusky, lead researcher at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center says that according to their data, taking long dose of Vitamin B6 and B12 increases the risk of lung cancer. These dosage is the high supplement dose of vitamin B, which is recommended by the US Dietary Alliance.

B complex 6 is essential for vitamins, proteins, fats and carbohydrate metabolism and Vitamin B6 and B12 are essential for a healthy nerve function. Millions of people take the dose of these two vitamins, which are usually found in red meat, poultry and fish. This research was published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
