New Delhi: Facebook and its proprietary photo and video blogging platform Instagram (Instagram) removed a fact-check of PIB over the corona vaccine, but restored it shortly thereafter, saying it was a mistake. Tell us that there have been several cases of social media platforms ignoring Indian rules and regulations in the recent past. Where WhatsApp approached the court against the central government, Twitter refused to comply with the new IT rules. Instagram and Facebook reportedly restored the fact-check of the PIB again after the central government intervened in the latest case. In the said fact check, PIB had examined the data of 'death from corona vaccine'. A Facebook spokesperson clarified that the content was accidentally blocked but has now been restored. The post was posted on social media on May 25, 2021. Facebook then issued a warning without explanation, accusing the PIB of publishing false news and saying its page could be deleted. PIB then approached the Union IT ministry, which contacted Facebook and Instagram and republished the content. The government may soon seek information on how these social platforms have appointed fact-checkers. In a viral post on social media, French Nobel Laureate Look Montantaner quoted her as saying along with a picture that people would die in the next 2 years after getting the corona vaccine. PIB had stated in his fact check that the news was also fake and he had not made any such statement. #Ilaiyaraaja78: Five Bollywood chartbusters inspired by Ilaiyaraaja hits in Tamil Video: Nikki Tamboli's hilarious reaction on seeing a cow asked, 'Maregi to nahi?'
