New Delhi: On January 10, BMW will unveil the face-lifted 3 Series Gran Limousine in India, ushering in the new year in style. One of the most popular models from the brand's lineup on our land is the sedan. The long-wheelbase variant of the sporty car will follow the contemporary design aesthetics of the German automaker and will feature a new fascia. BMW, one of the top three German luxury car manufacturers, is known for its emphasis on offering dynamic handling characteristics for a thrilling driving experience. Since the release of the E30 (second generation) model in 1982, the 3 Series has become a favorite among enthusiasts around the world. The Gran Limousine model serves as a transitional vehicle between the 3 Series and the 5 Series. Designer alloy wheels, flared wheel arches and ORVMs will surround the vehicle. There will be LED taillights that wrap around the rear. Also Read: Range Rover makes a green switch with a new PHEV lineup A 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine with 190 horsepower and 400 pound-feet torque or a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine with 258 horsepower and 400 pound-feet torque will power the updated BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine. An 8-speed automatic gearbox will be responsible for handling the transmission. Interior features of the updated BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine include a dual-tone dashboard, perforated leather seating, three-zone climate control, multi-colour ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof. Multiple airbags should be used for the safety of the passengers. The prices of the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine (facelift) and availability for India will be made public by the automaker on January 10. The sedan is expected to be priced higher than the current model, starting at Rs. 55.3 lakh (ex-showroom).
