The VOC port at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu on Monday has received the third Muriate of Potash (MoP) ship containing Bags of the 27500 MT product to the Fertilizers And Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT). FACT is a PSU comes under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers had already placed orders for import of three shipment of MoP.

Including the shipment received now, the collective MoP import for the year reached 82000 MT. FACT's prime product FACTAMFOS (NP 20:20:0:13) and MoP is a preferred fertilizer combination by the farmers of South India for high yield. The Company is planning for two more parcels this year.
To meet the demand of farmers during Khariff season the company has imported two shipments of MoP and one parcel of NPK (16:16:16) already. FACT is one of the first large scale fertilizer manufacturers of the country and is maintaining good performance in manufacturing and marketing of fertilizers among the backbone of India, farmers during the year. With the growing necessity of the chemical fertilizers for crop protection, high yield, redcution of wastage and reducing damaged products farmers depends highly on the fertilizers. The government of India with complete understanding of the farmers need is arranging the necessary fertilizers.
