Now this forgery has increased to 43 crores. 53,000 farmers have received this amount by registering fraudulently. Agriculture Department has issued notification for recovery from ineligible farmers. The threat of action is also looming large on these farmers for not returning the amount. Even in Chhattisgarh's Raigarh, many ineligible farmers took advantage of this scheme in the initial phase. After receiving the news about this, the Agriculture Department got the list of eligible farmers through Patwari by verifying the acreage and linking Aadhaar. The maximum number of fake farmers is 23,379 from the Pusaur block. The department has been able to recover only Rs 53 lakh from the farmers in the last two years.
