New Delhi: A shocking case has come to light in the national capital. Rogue sales tax officer robbed Rs. 5 lakh worth dry fruit from the truck after tieing the driver. The local police has been investigating the case after the incident was reported. The incident has come to an area from Tilak Marg area in New Delhi. On the evening of October 19, a truck packed with dry fruit was stopped by 3 miscreants. In the meantime, the miscreants described themselves as sales tax officers. The culprits then mortgaged the truck driver and robbed dry fruit worth Rs 5 lakh. The miscreants also carried out the truck while performing the incident. However, the crooks escaped leaving the truck on the Ghazipur flyover in East Delhi. The incident complained in the New Delhi area on October 20. An FIR has been lodged by the police in the case. The accused is currently absconding and the police are engaged in the search of the accused. Police say a number of teams have been set up to investigate CCTV footage to nab the accused, analyse the CDR and collect intelligence to nab the accused. The investigation into the case is currently underway.
