New Delhi: Farmers' agitation continues against the agricultural laws brought by the Center. This case is being heard in the Supreme Court, meanwhile, Satnam Singh, head of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti (Punjab), says that he no longer trusts any committee. Satnam Singh demands that PM Modi should form a committee under his own supervision. If the case goes to the Supreme Court, it can be prolonged.
The farmer leader said that our demand is that all three laws should be withdrawn and laws should be made on MSP. He said that PM Modi will have to come forward and find a solution to the problem. Going to the top court will not solve anything, just hang on. To resolve the issue related to the farmers 'movement, the Supreme Court had asked to form a committee, which would include farmers' organizations, government and all other representatives. However, it is yet to be finalized in Thursday's hearing.
Notices were sent to 8 farmer organizations on this issue from the apex court and asked to be a party in this matter. The court had also sent a notice to the Center and the concerned state governments seeking answers. The Delhi High Court on Thursday refused to hear a petition related to the farmers' movement. The High Court says that when the matter is in the Supreme Court, there is no need for a hearing here.
