Chapra: A big news is coming from Chhapra district of Bihar at this time, where criminals have shot and killed the son of a former MLA. The incident is from Bhagwan Bazar police station area in Chhapra district, where the body of a youth was burnt near Chirai house. The deceased has been identified as Prince Kumar, who is said to be the son of former MLA late Ram Pravesh Rai. Prince has been shot and killed.

Former MLA Late Ram Pravesh Rai was an MLA from Chhapra seat, who was first in Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and later joined Janata Dal-United (JDU) headed by Nitish Kumar. Late Ram Pravesh Rai won elections from Chhapra in 2005 on JDU ticket and became MLA.

Earlier, Ram Pravesh Rai had also served as the chairman of the Zilla Parishad. His son Prince used to do tyre business in Chhapra itself. There is a tyre shop near the residence of the Zilla Parishad president. Police are currently investigating the cause of the murder and police say the body has been sent for postmortem and that something will be clear once the report is received.
