New Delhi: Two siblings, a nine-year-old girl and her 15-year-old brother, were found dead in their house in New Delhi on Saturday. Their father, who was accused of their alleged murder and was absconding, was also found dead on a railway track. The children’s mother was seriously injured and is undergoing treatment, police said. According to Delhi Police, they received a call around 2 pm on Saturday reporting that a house in Shashi Garden in East Delhi had been locked since Friday and the man of the house, Shyamji, was missing. Police reached the spot, forcefully entered the closed flat, and found the bodies of the children in one room, while the mother was found unconscious in another room. The woman had multiple injuries, police said. It is suspected that Shyamji, who ran a tea stall in Mayur Vihar, strangled his children to death, attacked his wife, and then fled, a police officer said. As the investigation progressed, police received information that Shyamji's body had been found on the railway tracks near Anand Vihar. A case of murder has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
