A courier company employee was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly fabricating a robbery involving Rs 1.45 lakh, according to police. The money, which belonged to his company and was meant for transportation to another firm, was allegedly hidden by the accused in a garden midway through the journey, police stated. "A police spokesperson stated that Anuj Sahlot had taken the money in a bag from the Khoda branch of his company on April 15. The funds were intended for deposit at another company located in Noida’s Sector 62,"

they said. "However, instead of depositing the money, he concealed it in D Park, Sector 62, and falsely reported to the police that he had been robbed of the money by two unidentified motorcycle-borne individuals," the spokesperson added.Police further elaborated that an FIR was filed During the investigation, suspicions arose regarding the complainant, leading to his apprehension near D Park on Wednesday, and the recovery of the money.
