Chikbalpur: A surprise case has come up in Chikkabalpur, Karnataka. Here a farmer father sold his 3-month-old girl to buy a new car and phone. The farmer has sold this girl to a couple for Rs 1 lakh. Subsequently, on the complaint, the Women and Child Welfare Department rescued the girl and registered a case against the accused father. He is absconding and the police is searching for him. In this regard, the police said that this case is from Tinakal village of Chintamani taluka. This area is just 70 km from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Some people had informed the officials about the sale of the girl child. The officer reached the village and questioned the people about this. The mother of the innocent girl was also questioned. Police further stated that this was the second marriage of the accused and his second wife gave birth to a daughter 3 months ago. After this, her baby girl suddenly stopped seeing people and a new bike and smartphone appeared near the farmer. If people were suspicious of this, they informed the officers. After this, in the investigation, the police came to know that with the birth of the girl, the couple started the deal to sell her. He also discussed this with many people in Bengaluru. He had talked to many people about the transaction of money. After this, the parents of the girl made contact with a childless couple from Malamchanahalli area. The couple has passed 50 years of age.
