Patna: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested RJD Rajya Sabha MP A D Singh in a case registered over rs 800 crore commissioning in fertilizers coming from abroad. The commissioning case includes IFFCO and Indian Potash Limited managing directors as well as Rajiv Saxena, accused in the Agusta Westland case. Rajya Sabha MP from RJD Amarendra Dhari Singh is said to have not known him when his name came up as an MP candidate from the Rajya Sabha. Now ED has arrested the same Amarendra Dhari Singh on charges of touting and money laundering in manure coming from abroad. It is alleged that Amarendra Dhari Singh and his associates along with senior officials of Indian Potash Limited and IFFCO showed that manure coming from abroad was purchased at increased prices and also laundered brokerage money in various companies in this regard. Interestingly, the central government was also charged for the subsidy in manure in this purchase, which also cost the central government crores of rupees.
