Film-maker Darren is interested in directing a Superman movie.

Crucially much-admired filmmaker Darren Aronofsky says he is unwrapping to directing a Superman movie. The director, however, says it would be difficult for him to commit to the project given the character's current direction, reported CinePOP. "A lot of the great superhero titles are done. People have used them up. So now its characters that aren't as interesting."But you never know what to expect. I mean, Superman would always be an interesting movie. But they're already bottomless into reinventing him, so that's not going to happen for a long time," Aronofsky, told

The director adds that directing superhero movies poses some very particular challenges, because of the intensity of the comic book fans. "I think of those films you have to be careful because they are about communicating with as big an audience as you possibly can. Audiences who will go to watch films expect a certain type of movie. "

It sounds like Film-maker would still like a chance to direct a superhero movie. Superman would always be interesting." Aronofsky explained. "But they’re already deep into reinventing him, so that’s not going to happen for a long time." This shouldn't be surprising to some fans, as Aronofsky had previously expressed his interest in making Man of Steel. While he had to pass on the project for personal reasons, it sounds like he's a fan of the DC Extended Universe film's end result.
