In the Lok sabha for consideration, the Union Finance minister Arun Jaitley has moved today four Goods and Services Tax (GST), Bill. Earlier he had already tabled in Lok sabha the four bills i.e CGST, IGST, UT GST connected to GST and GST Compensation bills. When these Bills are cleared by Parliament, the states will then take up the state GST Bill in their assemblies. Mr Jaitley as per the sources news said the GST bills are based on the principle of shared sovereignty and that the government wants to pass these landmark tax reforms through consensus.
