New Delhi: A 25-year-old West Bengal girl who came to join the ongoing farmers' agitation on the Tikri border in the national capital, Delhi, died on April 30 at a private hospital on the Tikri border. The girl was suffering from corona virus. The matter has now taken a new turn. It is being reported that a case has been registered against six persons for raping the girl. According to media reports, these 6 people include 2 farmer leaders, 2 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers and 2 women volunteers belonging to kisan movement. The girl, who had come from West Bengal to join the agitation, died due to corona virus, but now a case of rape has been registered in Bahadurgarh city police station area based on the statement of the girl's father. The accused farmers were associated with the Social Army. The accused include Anil Malik, Anup Singh, Ankush Sangwan, Jagdish Barad, Kavita Arya and Yogita Suhag. According to media reports, the accused Anup Singh is from Hisar area and is also an active AAP worker, which was confirmed by AAP MP Sushil Gupta. Anil Malik is also said to be an AAP worker in Delhi. Apart from rape, sections of kidnapping, blackmailing and intimidation have also been imposed on the accused. Anup Singh is said to have been missing since the death of the girl. However, the girl's parents Tikri and Singhu had come to the border. They registered a case in Bahadurgarh city police station area on Saturday night itself.
