Chandigarh: A massive fire broke out in the coach of Telangana Express between Faridabad-Palwal in Haryana on Thursday morning. Railway Protection Force (RPF) and fire department officials are trying to control the fire. Northern Railway's CPRO said the fire broke out in the brake binding of Telangana Express at 7.43 am on Thursday morning. All passengers are safe in this event. The Telangana Express was coming from Hyderabad to Delhi. The fire has affected rail operations on both the up and downsides of the Faridabad-Palwal rail section. Fire brigade personnel are engaged in extinguishing the fire. No casualty has been reported in the fire incident. A senior railway official said that the fire broke out at Asouti station at 7.43 a.m. on train No. 12723, after which several fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The official said that the train had passed through Asouti station but had to stop between Asouti and Ballabhgarh. Traffic on the track has also been stopped due to heavy smoke. The official said that the fire was involved in the brake binding of the wheels of the ninth coach.
