Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi has passed away. His son Amit Jogi has given this information by tweeting. Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi has left an impression in politics that will be remembered for centuries. There are many such stories in the journey of Ajit Jogi's whole life which startle anyone. Ajit Jogi grew up in the streets of the village, and after completing his education with the help of missionary, first passed the examination of engineering and then UPSC and became a collector. In 1986, at the behest of Rajiv Gandhi, Ajit Jogi left the job of collector and started a political journey with the Congress. Ajit Jogi was a member of Rajya Sabha from 1986 to 1998. During this time, he continued to work in different positions in Congress. He was elected as Lok Sabha MP from Raigad in 1998. When Chhattisgarh became a state in 2000, Ajit Jogi became the first Chief Minister. He remained CM till 2003. In 2016, he rebelled with the Congress and formed his own party, Janata Congress Chhattisgarh. In his statement, Amit Jogi has tweeted that the 20-year-old youth of Chhattisgarh state has lost his father's shadow today. Not only me but Chhattisgarh has lost his father. Ajit Jogi, who came into politics from the Indian Administrative Service, was currently representing the Marwahi assembly seat. His wife Renu Jogi is an MLA from Kota region. Jogi became the first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh after the creation of the state in the year 2000 and remained in the post till the year 2003. The Congress was defeated by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the first elections to the state assembly in 2003. Due to differences with Congress leaders in the state, Jogi formed the new party Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) in the year 2016.
