New Delhi: E-commerce website Flipkart has said it has employed 23,000 people across the country in the last three months amid the corona epidemic. According to Flipkart, from March to May 2021, it employed 23,000 people across the country in various capacities in its supply chain, including delivery executives. A statement issued by the company said the hiring was carried out in view of the growing demand for e-commerce services across the country.

Hemant Badri, senior vice president of supply chains in Flipkart, says that people are living indoors to avoid corona infection, which has led to an increase in demand for e-commerce services across the country and that is why our supply chain has also increased, creating thousands of employment opportunities. Hemant Badri also says, "New employees will be covered with our healthcare and wellness initiatives to ensure their safety during the training period."

The company also said in a statement that it is also running a training programme to recruit directly for supply chains.
