Itanagar: Infection cases in Arunachal Pradesh have increased to 25,002 after 429 new cases of corona virus infection were registered on Wednesday. The death toll due to infection has gone up to 104. A senior health department official has informed about this.
State Vigilance Officer Dr Lobsang Zampa has informed that the cases of death due to infection are from capital complex area and Upper Subansiri district. The highest number of infections has been recorded at 103 cases from the Capital Complex area, 49 from Tawang and 42 from Lower Subansiri. The infection has recovered 230 more people, taking the number of recoverers to 21,575 in the state. There are 3,323 active cases in the state. State Immunization Officer Dr Dimong Padung said that 3.36 lakh people have received corona vaccine in the state so far. In view of the rapidly increasing number of cases of infection, the state government has imposed a complete lockdown in nine districts till May 31.
The number of infected people in the country has increased to 271,57,795 after 2,08,921 new corona cases were reported in a day in the country. On Tuesday, the country tested the highest number of 22,17,320 covid-19 samples in a day. According to data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Wednesday, the death toll has risen to 3,11,388 after infection slipped to 4,157 more deaths in 24 hours.
