For the first time in the country in motorsports, a member of the women's racing team has turned positive in dope. This is the first case of any woman being caught in dope in motorsports in the country. The dope report for the use of beta-blocker in the sampling done by Formula Four car racer Mrinalini Singh Nada has turned positive. However, Mrinalini has not been temporarily banned due to being a specified substance in the WADA list. Mrinalini's samples were taken in July last year during the National Racing Championship by NADA. After NDTL was banned in August, it was sent to Doha Lab for testing again. Actually the use of beta blocker is completely forbidden in sports like shooting, motor racing and archery. Rajan Syal, secretary general of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India, confirmed Mrinalini being found positive in dope, saying she had been exempted from the B sample. Sources in this regard say that Mrinalini had used a beta blocker at the behest of the doctor. For this reason, he did not get his B sample test done. Despite this, she did not apply for therapeutic use exemption (TUE) to avoid getting caught in doping. Earlier last year, motor biker Vijay Singh was caught in the dope for using steroid stenzolol in Nada testing. They have been banned for four years.
