Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo and state CM Mamata Banerjee are reeling under one setback ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections. The latest news is that forest Minister Rajab Banerjee has also resigned from the Mamata government. Since then, he seems to be joining the BJP. Rajib Banerjee is said to be unhappy with Mamata Banerjee's working style and her nephew's intervention in the party. This is the second major setback to Mamata Banerjee after the Suvendu Adhikari. However, Rajib Banerjee has not yet officially said that he will join the BJP, but it is being considered as fixed. So far, 16 Trinamool Congress MLAs have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Meanwhile, PM Modi is going to arrive in Kolkata on the occasion of the 125 birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on January 23. PM Modi's visit is being considered important in view of the West Bengal elections. The election Commission is engaged in preparations for the assembly elections in West Bengal. The term of the present Assembly expires on 30th May. It is said that the Election Commission can announce the dates of elections on any day. This time there is a direct collision between the BJP and the ruling TMC.
