Former BJP leader Bhanwar Singh accused of raping woman ASI, FIR lodged

Jaipur: Former BJP leader Bhanwar Singh Palada has been accused of rape on the pretext of marriage. A serious complaint has been filed at Pratap Nagar police station in Bhilwara town. In the report, a complaint has been lodged against 12 criminals, including Palada, a resident of Ajmer. It also includes former Nagaur ASP Sanjay Gupta. The victim, ASI, has alleged that Bhanwar Singh had raped her several times from 2018 to 2021 on the pretext of marriage at her quarters at the Bhilwara police line. The woman has evidence of this. The woman is originally from Masuda in Ajmer.

According to the information received from the same Pratap Nagar police, the ASI, a resident of police lines in Bhilwara, has filed a case. The report also names Bhanwar Singh's driver Ravindra, PA Kishan Puri, bodyguard Karan, Bajrang, Vijay, Sansa, Manisha, Dhiraj, woman constable Rashmi, Nagaur ASP Sanjay Gupta and Shiv Banna. The police have started an investigation.

At the same time, ASI said that it had contacted the then ASP of Nagaur, Sanjeev Gupta, speaking for transfer from Palada in 2018. Bhanwar Singh came to ASI's police line quarters in the wake of assembly elections. She was forced by showing a revolver. He pretended to get married when she protested. Then, he raped her at different places several times.
