Former BJP MP Jagdish Rana passes away, last breaths in Delhi

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jagdish Rana, who was an MP from Saharanpur parliamentary seat in Uttar Pradesh, has passed away tragically. Jagdish Rana breathed his last at a Delhi hospital late on Monday evening. BJP leader Rana was 67 years old. The news of his demise sent shock waves across Saharanpur.

According to media reports, former Saharanpur MP Jagdish Rana had been ill for the past few days. A few days ago, his corona test report was positive. Jagdish Rana was admitted to a hospital in the country's capital Delhi for treatment after the corona report came positive. Jagdish Rana passed away while undergoing treatment at a Delhi hospital.

Regarding the death of Rana, who was infected with corona, his family members said he had recovered from the infection. According to family members, Jagdish Rana's corona report had come negative, he died of pneumonia and heart problems. Jagdish Rana, who started his political journey with the JP movement, was elected MLA for the first time in 1991. Jagdish Rana, who has held several important responsibilities in the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), joined the BJP in 2016.
