Wasim Akram blamed his captain for his defeat

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram feels that the team's included captain Azhar Ali lost some opportunities against England in the first Test match played in Manchester, which led to the team's defeat. Chris Woakes and Jos Buttler have won England by 3 wickets on Saturday. England were chasing a target of 277 runs. He lost his 5 wickets for 117 runs. Vox and Butler formed a partnership here. The two then shared a partnership of 139 runs. Butler, however, scored an innings of 75 runs off 101 balls and Vox scored 84 runs off 120 balls. After Pakistan's defeat, Akram criticized his strategy and said that the bowlers of the team did not bother Vox much, due to which he easily won the match.

It has been learned that Akram told Sky Sports, 'This defeat will give a lot to the Pak team and also to the cricket lovers of Pakistan. Win and lose is part of the game but I think our captain missed some opportunities.

He said, 'When Vox came on the field, no bouncers were put, shortpitch balls were not put. He let Vox freeze and runs came easily. He said, 'Once the partnership was happening, nothing happened . Did not spin, did not swing and took the Butler-Vox match. Pakistan are leading 1-0 in the 3-match series.
