Kochi: The house of Former Indian cricketer and Big Boss contestant S Sreesanth has been reported to be on fire. No damage has been reported in the incident. The fire was brought under control without much delay. The fire broke out at his Kochi residence. Some part of a room has been lightly damaged. Sreesanth's wife and children were present in the house when the accident took place.

However, both of them did not suffer any injuries. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Lokpal D K Jain had ordered that Sreesanth's ban on the alleged spot-fixing case would end in August next year. Sreesanth has been facing a ban for six years. In August 2013, the BCCI had banned Sreesanth in a spot-fixing case.

"Sreesanth is already facing a ban and he has completed almost six years," the Lokpal said. "Now Sreesanth has reached 30 years and as a cricketer, his best is gone. I think it would be justified to have seven years of ban on Sreesanth from 13th September 2013 on joining any commercial cricket or BCCI or its member association." This was followed by the removal of a life ban on Sreesanth by the BCCI.
