Raipur: The BJP, which was ousted from power after ruling Chhattisgarh for 15 years, seems to have started preparing for the 2023 elections. Chhattisgarh's former IAS officer Ganesh Shankar Mishra's joining the saffron party is also being linked to the party's efforts. However, the ruling Congress party in the state has targeted the BJP over this. As soon as former IAS Ganesh Shankar Mishra joined the BJP, attacks started on the Congress side. Congress not only described the BJP as a washing machine that washed people's sins but also linked GS Mishra's name to the radius water scam. Congress communications chief Shailesh Trivedi said both GS Mishra or OP Chaudhary have washed away their sins by joining the BJP. The BJP is the only party where the sins of all kinds of sinners are washed away. Shailesh Trivedi's statement has intensified the stir in the political corridors of the state. Hitting back at the Congress, leader of opposition Dharamlal Kaushik, without naming a senior government official, said that people know very well how extensions are being given to tainted officers and how work is being done. At the same time, he said that he did not know that GS Mishra's name was linked to any corruption.
