Four accused in Liquor scam absconding, SIT searching

Sonipat: Four accused, including Inspector Jasbir and Bhupendra's brother Jitendra, have been declared as absconders in the case of Kharkhauda liquor smuggling, theft and corruption. Now SIT will start the process of declaring the reward on them and attaching their property. The court has accepted the anticipatory bail of Sunil, a former contractual employee of the Excise Department, accused in the case. On the other hand, Excise Department Inspector Dhirendra has confessed to involvement with Bhupendra.

Police will now take out the details of his mobile and investigate the role of others. Liquor was stolen from the liquor warehouse in Kharkhoda and sold during the lockdown. The involvement of its main accused Bhupendra and Kharkhauda's SHO Jasbir Singh was revealed. Liquor was being smuggled for many years under the guise of the warehouse. In this case, three FIRs were registered at Kharkhoda police station. Among them, Bhupendra, his brother Jitendra and two other companions, Jasbir Singh, who was SHO of Kharkhoda police station, and others were nominated.

The state-level SET, divisional level SIT and Kharkhoda police are investigating this case. Bhupendra surrendered in the case. Later ASI Jaipal was arrested. Now Excise Department Inspector Dhirendra was caught. Kharkhoda police informed the court about the four accused, including Jasbir. According to the SIT, the court declared Jasbir, Bhupendra's brother Jitendra, his companions Satish Jharoth and Sanjay Singh's fugitives. After which the process of attaching their assets and declaring the award will now be started.
