Lucknow: Four employees who became additional district information officers have been shocked by the Allahabad High Court for promotion from class IV employees in the Ministry of Information and Public Relations, UP. The High Court has ordered the four workers to return to their original posts, assuming the promotion was wrongly given contrary to the rules in the SP government. Out of these, 3 carers have been instructed to take up peons and one as watchmen. These promotions made in the SP government have been challenged in the High Court. On the court's order, the up government has again ordered the four officers to return to the original post. The demoted employees are posted at Mathura, Bareilly, Firozabad, and Bhadohi. The Uttar Pradesh Working Journalists Union had filed a suit in the Press Council of India. Taking cognizance of this, the Press Council of India has recently issued notices to 6 persons including the information director of up and Mathura DM seeking replies. Demotion: Janha has come to know that among the 4 additional district information officers who had been a demotion, Narsingh of Bareilly has been made a cinema operator less publicity assistant (Class IV employee) to Peon, Firozabad's Dayashankar, Vinod Kumar Sharma of Mathura, cinema operator publicity assistant (Class IV employee) and Anil Kumar Singh of Bhadohi (Sant Kabir Nagar). So far, it was posted to the post of additional district information officer in these districts. They were promoted in the year 2014.
