Chennai: The CB-CID investigating the Tuticorin Custodial Death Case has arrested Sub-Inspector Raghu Ganesh, who was suspended in connection with the case. Apart from this, three more police officers have been arrested. These include Sub Inspector Balakrishnan and constables Muthuraj and Murugan. People have celebrated in Tuticorin after the arrest of accused Sub-Inspector Raghu Ganesh. The local people burnt firecrackers fireworks. Four policemen have been arrested in this case so far. The CB-CID team is interrogating Inspector Sridhar of Sattankulam station. CB-CID team under the leadership of Anil Kumar on Wednesday interrogated the families of the deceased and also questioned those where they had a mobile shop. This team also visited the police station where the incident took place. CB-CID had registered a case of murder against the policemen of Sathankulam. The Madurai bench of the Madras High Court had said during the hearing on Tuesday that there was prima facie evidence for the murder charges. After this, CB-CID also added Section 302 of IPC in the case filed against Raghu Ganesh and Balakrishnan.
