Fraud of crores from foreigners through fake call center, 7 accused in police custody

Sirohi: Rajasthan's Sirohi district police on Friday night arrested seven accused who operated fake call centers in a case of cheating from foreigners. Police investigation has revealed that all the accused used to cheat foreigners online through internet. The seven accused  are residents of Aburod and Sirohi.

Giving information about the case on Saturday, SP Kalyan Mal Meena has told that the police had been receiving a complaint for a long time that fraudulent amounts of lakhs of rupees were being made from foreign people by creating fake call centers in the district. At this they formed a cyber team to expose this gang and divided it into two parts. Police officer Kotwali and police station officer Aburod were instructed that there is a business of cheating foreign people in their area.

Kotwali police station with the help of cyber cell raided a house in Karni Colony in Sirohi. Police recovered laptop, mobile and other material from here. With its help, the accused international calls used to transfer money to their account by intimidating people on the pretext of giving loans or implicating them in any case.
