The state government has also decided to give crop loans to these farmers at a zero percent interest rate. These farmers had come under the category of defaulters due to late payment of crop loans. According to Cooperative Minister Udaylal Anjana, now such farmers will be eligible to take a loan again after paying the loan amount and interest. Such farmers will be able to take crop loan again like the original amount. Farmers' organizations were continuously raising demands for crop loans to these farmers. The state government has taken this decision in the interest of farmers. The work of giving crop loans to farmers for the Kharif season is going on continuously in the state. This process of giving short-term crop loans started on April 16. According to Cooperative Minister Udaylal Anjana, so far 23 lakh 79 thousand farmers have been given as loans in the Kharif season. A loan of Rs 7,321 crore has been disbursed to these farmers. The state government has set a target of disbursing a loan of 10 thousand crores under the Kharif season. During the Rabi season, a loan of 6 thousand crores will be distributed to the farmers. This time crop loans are also being given to about 3 lakh new farmers. Short-term crop loans are made available to farmers through cooperative banks without interest. The State Government and the Central Government bear 7 percent interest on this loan. Farmers who do not repay their loans on time are put in the list of defaulters and banks do not give them loans in future.
