German Singer CassMae's Enchanting Renditions of Indian Music Amaze Prime Minister Modi and the World

New Delhi: On Sunday, September 24th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered the 105th installment of his monthly public address, 'Mann ki Baat.' During this radio address, he emphatically asserted that India's global appeal has significantly increased in recent years, especially following the successful hosting of the G20 Summit and the remarkable achievement of ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 mission.

He went on to introduce the German singer to his listeners, revealing that her name is CassMae. He noted, "21-year-old Cassmae is quite popular on Instagram these days. CassMae, a resident of Germany, has never been to India, but she is a fan of Indian music, and has never even seen India. Her interest in Indian music is very inspiring." PM Modi underscored CassMae's resilience in the face of challenges and her extraordinary achievements. Despite being visually impaired, CassMae's passion for music and creativity drove her to start singing at a remarkably young age. PM Modi highlighted that she began playing African drums at the tender age of 3.

Although CassMae was introduced to Indian music only about 5-6 years ago, she was deeply captivated by its allure, immersing herself completely in it. She even learned how to play the tabla. PM Modi further praised the multilingual singer, noting that she excels in singing in various Indian languages, including Sanskrit, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, and Urdu. CassMae has truly mastered her craft in all of these languages. PM Modi concluded by saying, "I wholeheartedly appreciate Germany’s CassMae’s passion for Indian culture and music. Her efforts are going to overwhelm every Indian."
