Ghaziabad: 50 arrested during police raid in connection with illegal hookah smoking

Lucknow: More than 50 boys and girls have been arrested by police at a restaurant by a joint team of police and administration at Angel Mall in Ghaziabad's Thana Kaushambi area of Uttar Pradesh. The restaurant was being run illegally and liquor was served. When the police got involved, they suddenly caught a large number of boys and girls in a raid.

Liquor and hookah bar was running in the guise of a restaurant. Police say the mobs, could have caused the spread of the corona. After persistent complaints, the police and administration team raided the restaurant. Abhishek Verma, SP City, Ghaziabad, said that a person operates a restaurant called No Rules at Angel Mall in Kaushambi area. The restaurant was being blown up by the lockdown rules and the restaurant was running illegally. In which alcohol was also being offered openly.

Police say the physical distancing norms in the restaurant was also not being followed. As reported to the police, a joint team of police and administrative officers carried out an on-the-spot raid, and more than 50 boys and girls were apprehended during the raids. Action is being taken against all in the Pandemic Act and other legal sections.
