Goa government extends corona curfew till June 28

Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has recently announced extension of corona curfew. Yes, last Saturday, he announced that the corona curfew is now going to last till June 28. In fact, Goa CM Pramod Sawant tweeted that the state level curfew will be extended till 7 am on June 28. In addition, he has written that shops in shopping malls except cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes, entertainment sectors will be allowed to open between 7 am and 3 pm. The fish market may also open up.

 

According to the Health Department, 302 new corona cases were reported in Goa last Saturday and with this 9 patients died. In addition, 419 people overcame the virus. Let me tell you that the existing lockdown-like restrictions in Goa were first imposed on May 9 this year and have been extended several times so far. In fact, Goa saw a positivity rate of up to 51 per cent during the second wave of epidemic, which has now come down. Similarly, it is being said that the situation in the State is now recovering. The total number of covid positive cases here is 1 lakh 64 thousand 229, while 2,984 people have died so far.

CM Pramod Sawant said, "The covid-19 situation in Goa is improving and the positivity rate has come down to about 8 per cent. On the other hand, the recovery rate is 95 per cent and the death rate is 6 per cent. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the customized crash course programme for Covid-19 frontline workers.
