American Tech-giant Google has launched new features across its search engine, Maps and voice assistant to help voters to find the nearest voticng locations so that time of voters can be saved. Alphabet Inc's Google said on Friday it was introducing this feature to guide the voters in the United States find their nearest voting locations.
In a blog post, google said, "Details on in-person voting or returning mail-in ballots can be found under searches with "early voting locations" or "ballot drop boxes near me." It further said that data was pulled from a joint project between state election officials and non-partisan, non-profit civic group Democracy Works.
The Tech-giant said its voice assistant would also share details on where to vote nearby, if prompted with the question, while Google Maps would shows directions and voting hours for the locations so that time of the voters can be saved. For your information let us tell you that the 2020 United States presidential election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2020. It will be the 59th quadrennial presidential election.
