Government websites should be in all 'Languages'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is recently taking major changes for the betterment of the country and in continuation to that, he has suggested making a major change in Central government websites.

As a country with several ethnicities and regional languages, it becomes difficult for every individual to access the website in Hindi or English. So PM has asked to make these websites multilingual for every citizen of the country which will increase the reach of government.

"The Prime Minister wants that central government websites should not be available just in English and Hindi...they should be multi-lingual as people across the country access them for information. This is now a priority job," a senior government official told ET.

Being a challenge in itself still this very welcoming change. Currently, only Prime Minister's Office (PMO) website is available in 23 officially accepted languages.
