Bengal may have President's rule, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar warns

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee has been sworn in as a CM from West Bengal for the third time. He has been administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar. On the one hand, the Governor administered the oath of office to Didi as the CM of the state for the third time, shortly before that he also tweeted.

Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar tweeted, "Even after raising the issue with Mamata Banerjee, Kolkata Police, and West Bengal Police, the violence in the state has not stopped after the elections. This kind of violence is shameful for democracy. Such deterioration of law and order situation in the State cannot be ignored. Such a situation cannot continue in the state.'' Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar's tweet is seen as a warning from him to impose President's rule in the state.

Earlier on Monday, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar had held discussions with the state DGP and expressed concern over the violence that continued after the elections. Not only that, he had said on Tuesday that PM Narendra Modi has also spoken to him and expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence in Bengal. Meanwhile, actor Mithun Chakraborty, who joined the BJP ahead of the elections, has appealed to stop the violence that continued after the elections.
