Republic Day 2024: India is all set to observe its 75th Republic tomorrow, January 26, marking the 75th anniversary of India's adoption of the Constitution. The heart of the celebrations will be in Delhi, with grand parades on Rajpath featuring the Indian army, navy, air force, police, and paramilitary groups.

French President Emmanuel Macron is the invited Chief Guest for the 75th Republic Day celebrations, and he is scheduled to arrive in Jaipur on January 25th. To catch all the action, tune in to the Doordarshan TV channel, which will broadcast the Republic Day Parade starting at 9:30 am IST on January 26, 2024.

If you prefer online streaming, the official YouTube channels of Doordarshan and All India Radio will provide live coverage of the Republic Day Parade 2024. They will also offer live sign language interpretation for the commentary. The Indian Army has beefed up security along the Line of Control, deploying snipers and cutting-edge technology for night patrols in Gurez, Bandipora, Jammu, and Kashmir. Increased security measures are also in place in Odisha, particularly in areas affected by Naxal activities.

Major General Sumit Mehta announced a historic addition to this year's Republic Day Parade – an all-women tri-services contingent. Comprising women troops from the Army's military police and members from the other two services, this contingent will be a first in the parade's history. The parade at Kartavya Path will center around women, with 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Bharat-Loktantra ki Matruka' as the main thematic focuses.

French President Emmanuel Macron's role as the Chief Guest marks the sixth occasion a French president has held this position, and the French contingent is set to participate in the parade for the second time. The Republic Day festivities in 2024 highlight significant women's participation, and approximately 13,000 special guests have been invited to witness the parade, aligning with the Government's vision of Jan Bhagidari – encouraging people from diverse backgrounds to actively engage in the national festival.
