New Delhi: A fire continues in hospitals in the country amid the crisis of the corona epidemic. Now a fire has erupted at Generation Hospital in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The fire reportedly broke out on the third floor where ICU beds were. More than 70 patients were admitted to the ICU when the fire broke out. All have been safely rescued. The hospital management says the fire was caused by a short circuit. All patients have been evacuated as soon as the fire broke out. No patient has lost his life because of this. At present, a fire department team reached the spot and tried to control the fire. The fire was brought under control after several hours of work. There was a stampede when the hospital caught fire. Patients were brought out in hurry. Many patients were on oxygen support. They were brought out with oxygen cylinders and immediately shifted to another hospital. No patient died due to the readiness of Generation Hospital. Earlier, a fire broke out on the night of April 30 in the Corona Care Ward at Patel Welfare Hospital in Bharuch city of Gujarat. Soon the flames had reached the ward ICU. 14 patients and 2 staff nurses lost their lives in the serious accident. About 49 patients were admitted to the corona ward, out of which 24 patients were in ICU. Fire also came to light at Prime Critic's Hospital in Thane, Maharashtra, two days before Patel Welfare Hospital in Bharuch. The work of shifting the patients to another hospital was started immediately after the fire, but four patients died during this time. A few days before the incident, 14 people lost their lives in a fire at Vijay Vallabh Covid Hospital in the Virar area adjoining Mumbai.
