According to IG Chusmada, "On Tuesday (April 5), the candidates for the post of assistant professor were protesting without permission. Due to this, they were taken into custody and brought to the police headquarters. The accused Jadeja had come to support him. When the police stopped them, they drove their car towards a havildar. During this time, in his defence, constable Laxman Basava climbed onto the bonnet of the car. Even after this, the AAP leader did not stop the car. The video of the incident also went viral on social media. At the same time, AAP's Yuva Morcha state chief Praveen has termed Yuvraj Singh Jadeja's action as a conspiracy of the government. He said, "Even the police often resort to lathi charge. Our leader Yuvraj Jadeja was raising his voice for the youth. Taking action against them under Section 307 amounts to an attack on the morale of the youth. All this is a conspiracy of the Gujarat government.''
