Forced-conversion families revert to Hinduism in Ghar Wapsi programme arranged by VHP

Ahmedabad: 21 families who have converted to Christianity in the Vapi district of Gujarat have once again returned to Sanatan Dharma. These 21 families from Dharampur and Kaprada tehsils have returned home during an event organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). All of them were lured into Christianity.

According to media reports, the families were lured. But at the Bapa Sitaram ashram-led program in Vapi, he once again accepted Sanatan dharma. Speaking on the occasion, Bjp MLA Kanubhai Desai said, "A number of issues related to Hindu society and Valsad district were discussed at the Hindu Jagran Manch program organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Kanubhai Desai also said that he has also discussed the anti-forced conversion law introduced by the government to spread awareness.

A person who returned home has admitted in a media interaction that other religious organizations had converted by luring him to solve his problems. He said, 'It had been five years since we became Christians, but our difficulties persisted. We didn't know which religion was good or bad. We had converted to Christianity out of greed.'
